first can i just get a yes or a no, if its ok sound. damn u getting all crazy

this sounds like some of that "rap music" that the kids go crazy for these days.

yes my friend, your settings is correct.

a guy name blue bear says the settings aren't correct

Do you know how to drive? Ok, now think about getting behind the wheel of a car for the first time, and you've got a laptop with a wireless internet connection, and a webcam, and as you come into a curve you log onto homedriving.com and post a picture of the steering wheel and ask "is this the right settings on my car?" Wait....I'm not being a smartass.....I'm trying to get a concept across to you. With driving, everything is dynamic...there are no correct settings. How much do you turn the wheel? The amount that you need to, at that moment, on that road. It's the same with your compressor. You've got to learn what the controls do first, and then start practicing using them. Every peice of music is going to be just as different as every road is different. There's a certain degree of "matter of preference", but first theres learning to stay on the road, and not knowing what the controls actually do on a piece of gear is a sure way to end up in the ditch.

Good luck,

Right I understand, but the average human music listener can not distinguish upon what "(GOOD SOUND)" is suppose to be. On the other hand an engineer can dispute between what good sound is. Now I let some of my friends here it, and they say that It was done professionally and that it sounds great, but to most of the engineers in here it must not sound to good if you are going to ridicule me and waste time writing dumb driving analogies to compare my stupidity with.

No, I think the avarage listener can distinguish good sound, they just don't know why it's good. That's what you have to learn. And I thought you were going to drop the attitude? My analogy isn't as dumb as you think, and really wasn't meant to ridicule you. One of the most common questions in these forums is "what's a good preset to use with such and such?" Back to my stupid car analogy.....do cars have presets?
Oh, and never trust your friends to evaluate your mixs or songs. They mean well....which is half the problem, and they don't know what they're talking about, which is not their fault.

Let someone spell it out for you.
There are no correct settings for everything.

Who are you gonna believe? Yo momma or pro engineers.... lose the attitude, and open your mind, you might actually learn something here.... many people are giving the right info, but your attitude is getting in the way of you absorbing it.

blue bear, the only thing i've heard from you was nothing much really, you were no help to me anyways, why dont u show me how to adjust the knobs of my preamp and compressor then i'll give u props, until then stop with them messages thinking u an engineer, u a engi-queer.
