This is the link to the album i just finished. It's strange and I want some feedback before I release it through bandcamp for free. Please let me know!!! Any kind of criticism would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
...so i can't post a link to it on here apparently.. so please take out the spaces in the broken link to make it work on your computer:

Your link doesn't work (even with spaces removed)... TylerRoweWhereIAmI.zip

...but I'm sure it's orgasmic, I thiink I felt something move. ;)

And this should be in the MP3 Clinic if you get the link working.

I managed to get on to it after removing the spaces. so, personally, I hate it, BUT I dont like any of that kinda music and from what I know from other experiences with those kinda songs, sounds good :)

glad to know the link is working. i just reposted in the mixing clinic, thanks:

oh and i definitely wasn't going for an avenged sevenfold sound, sorry to disappoint!

I gave up, I don't want to have to download new software and executable files.
How about uploading it to dropbox?

Well thats kinda thrown me. I dont think i've heard the like before.
I have to say "eton rifles" riff got my attention from the start and i was waiting for it all to kick off, build up and the bass, drums and vocals to come in.
then after a while i thought I get it it's a shoe gazer kinda sing. nope wrong again.
I did listen right the way through but to be honest its not my bag so its difficult to be objective when i'm so obviously not the target audiance.
I would rather the music told me a story even if it's just instrumental. Sadly it didnt speak to me or inspire me and i certainly didnt get the feeling of a Hotday Funday.
More like downday wet day and i know all about those being English.
the bit that made me grin was the funny kinda laugh thing towards the end.
Plus side it sounds like it was well recorded just the reverb and effects kind of washed it out for me.
I only listen to hotday funday btw not the whole album.
Just my 2 pence but what do i know. Simon Cowell I aint.

I only listened to the first track. Recorded well, I guess. But what genre is it?

thank you for that. that was nice. you should listen to the rest. im unfamiliar with "eton rifles", but i appreciate your feedback. the album changes a lot from hotday funday's beginnings. maybe i'll change the name. not sure cold and wet has the ironic value i'm looking for in a title but perhapths

I love all kinds of batshit crazy lofi space freekouts but it's not really resonating here.

I think you've plainly put a lot of effort into this and it shows.
I also think you have some potential to make some good music.
The vocals are over processed, you need some clean
to contrast the distorted. Otherwise it ends up being kind of
monotonous (not to you, but to me). It needs more "more" as well,
bass or something to fill spectrum, a couple of interesting change-ups.

It is very original, and I can see that is what you are going for.
Check out Thinking Fellers Union Local 272. They are a brainy odd band and
they will demonstrate what I am talking about in terms of adding some
variety. The song Cup of dreams is most accessible,
but their other stuff is right up your alley, IMO.

This song has all the elements I mentioned,
as well as a "change" bit at 04:30 that has caused it to stick with me
ever since I first heard it.

Yeah that was good. An i get what youre saying .Any thoughts on any other tracks ?

Listened to hotday funday and good luck weather. I like the sound and the playfulness of the guitars. It sets a comforting mood.

Any thoughts on any other tracks ?

I really enjoyed your work. I'm happy to see more and more psychedelic musicians emerging.

Very Brian Jonestown Massacre but with much more crisp dynamics and an even less linear structure.

I've noticed that psychedelic music coming out of NYC is much more percussion based than, say, Austin. Would you say that's true?

Forgot to add tracks that I liked: Coffee and Water USA stood out most to me, But I liked Gay Twin Brother a lot too.
