Anti-Pro Circles Insider
Being myself cakewalk user since version "0" or so I check the news from time to time, not to say that I really care anymore, but still...
so I am sliding through Sonar 6 New Feature Highlights (just because) and it just makes me smile (I can't laugh at it, because it's rather pathetic, but smiling is allright :) )
Here we go, these three "new features" will do it:
...
1.VC-64 Vintage Channel™—warm sound, dual EQ and compressor stages, analog component modeling, presets by professionals
2.Friendly driver naming (user-customizable audio hardware port names)
3.Custom color schemes with saturation, hue, and brightness controls and color categories for easy customization
>>>>>
so here "we" have it. still chasing the ghost of "analog warmth" and sh*t, while what "we" really good at is things like: customising on-screen color and naming drivers. heh heh heh...LOL
"we" also are very good at trademarking all sorts of "new titles" of non-existing entities ala VC-64 ...tee' em'!
way to go, march on, march on :) :) :)
********
p.s.
...tee' em' my FOOT!!
:D

I've never been sure exactly what to call it. I guess "Marching" is close enough. The destination changes, but the behavior of the market is the same... :D

I want one of those red, blue and yellow marching uniforms... I'd wear one as my morning outfit.

those must be custom design ;) , but you can start with the right shoes, so you can lead "the pack" :p
What shoe is right and how to get a pair, you'd have to ask the guy who knows all about it :D :p :D

Beck! Where did you get the "suicide-horses on the cliff" picture? :D  :D ?

Yeh!
I would put it in a different order though: "The behavior of the market is the same, BUT! the destination changes."
or is it the same thing? :)
If the man who wrote: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,..." lived today, he would maybe add there: "... it was the time when goods were trashed and trash was purchased" :D

When the digital world starts adding features such as Sticky Shed Syndrome modeling, then we'll know for sure they've totally lost it. :D

Cheers! :)

Someone once suggested that they should come out with a “talent plug-in.” I think it might have been Larry Robinson on the old TASCAM bbs. Can’t remember for sure. ;)

Charles Dickens

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

It was A Tale of Two Cities. And the Dickens that I like best.
