Techno Music Production HOW?

Hey Guys I need A BIIIIG Favor from any of you making this kind of music...

I am making this kind of music on my computer with software for about 3 years but now i decided to do it more professionaly..and here comes a big problem with money and equipment.

If any of you can tell me what do i need to make it sound professional?
--keyboard? what kind is good under 500$
--studio monitors? i think i`ll get Alesis M1 Active Monitors (unless somebody can give me a better advice)
--and anything else i need that you guys can tell me i need...

one more question what soundcard should i get?
i was thinking about Digi001 ...

are you into techno production also?
 
the digi001 seems like it may be overkill for what you need....you could probably get by with a much cheaper unit

how many channels in do you need (how many tracks to you plan to record at one time??) do you record with a microphone? what software are you using?

reason that I ask is that the digi001 has 8 channels in; 2 w/preamps - sounds to me like you don't need 8 channels or 2 preamps...

m-audio has some great cards that are way cheaper than the digi001 and will get you similar results
 
hey pratt!

I am going to use keyboard, drum machine,synth, and bass machine (novation super bass station)...

I don`t thinking i am going to record them all at the same time but it would be good if i could have them all connected and be able to listen to all of them at the same time... you know..

What do you think? =o)
by the way are you into Techno/Trance production also??

U dont need a decent keyboard just geta decent Midi mdulae and make sure ur keyboard has midi out on it! U will gte better sounds! Then u can save up for a smapler and loop machine! ;)
