I'm trying to get some tracking ideas for recording a solo acoustic guitar/vocal recording.
I've got three mics I'm using. A 93v for the vocal and two Octava 012s for the guitar.
Right now, the blead on the vocal mic is pretty heavy, which isn't overly suprising. Is there any good techniques you guys might have to minimize this and get a good vocal recording? Would high gain be better? Low gain? Positioning? I can't think of what else to try...
I know that some of this has to do w/ performance, but my natural performing levels are pretty honed, as one far mic will yeild a pretty balance recording, but obviously that's not the kind of recording I'm shooting for....
Has anyone heard how any professionals have recorded similar setups.
