Never Act Like U Know All
I have a unitor-8 serial connector type. I have used it on a win DAW with win 98, and a win 2000 partition. I am building a new DAW that is a dual 2.4ghz Pentium w/4GB ram. The mobo does not have serial ( i dont think any mobos have serial connections o them anymore) connection on it. HOWEVER...I see that a company called Keyspan makes a fantastic usb to serial comverter.

It says that just creates a com port thus through a usb port. Do you see any reason why this wouldnt work? I just personally dont want to go and have to buy another midi interface 8 in and 8 out. But if had to, I was considering a MOTU MIDI Time Piece AV USB, bite the bullit and pay the 500 bucks for one when i have a perfectly working Unitor8.
Please, and thoughts would be appreciated on this matter.
