I might pick one of these up for a great price and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular model.

No personal experience but I recall reading of major issues with the non "B" version. Word is that the 85-16B was a better choice. Rick Ruskin will know more about this.

Check it out very closely. My experience with this machine was not good. If it meets spec and doesn't exhibit a high frequency "flutter" on acoustic steel-string finger picked guitar, it is probably ok. A flutter meter will not show the problem I am referring to as it happens at too high a frequency. If doing hard rock, it won't be much of an issue.
Parts for this machine are going to be quite scarce if/when needed.

As stated earlier, the problem I cited wouldn't be noticed on that kind of material.
The 85-16B was the result of so many complaints about the 1st version's high frequency "jitter."
