Hey guys first post. Anyways I was checking out craigslist and found this mixer for $120 everything works fine and it has alot of channels. I know its really old. (1979? i think) Is it worth it to get this? Right now im working with a Behringer Xenyx 802 which is alright I guess. Would this be an upgrade? Ive heard of older mixers having more noise maybe? Should I go for it?

the likelyhood that it's in good shape is minimal... i wouldn't mind it as a project/parts machine... but may not be in your best interests... but if you would overhaul it i would expect it to blow the doors off the Bthing...

It's my hunch that you'll need to replace a bunch of electrolytic caps in the board, if not now, pretty soon. That was one of the first things to go on that series. Noise-wise, it's not bad, and having a 4 bus output section would offer some good flexibility. If you're really interested, I'd ask the owner if you could see and try it out, then see if $120 is his absolute lowest price. ;)
