Does anyone know the weight of a Teac 80-8?
I need to post it off to repair and the courier needs to know the weight.
Thanks.

you did the read the sticky about packing at the top of this section, i assume?

Google is your friend, mostly... try typing in "Metric Conversion" or "Metric Converter" and hit search. There are several free converters out there where you just punch in the known value and it will give you the converted value.

How far does it need to go? And what exactly is wrong with it? Have you considered making your own repairs? Unless it is a calibration some electronic issues might be done locally as well. Also, a kilo is about 2.2 pounds, so figure 40kg or so for shipping at least factoring in packing materials and box.

I have had the Teac for a decade and its never been serviced. Track eight plays back rather distorted, and also now and again its very slightly speeds up or slows down. Overdubbing proves impossible when tracking, say, a second guitar alongside another. It sounds like the two guitars arent in tune with each other.
I am sending it by courier approx. 200 miles.
