i've heard people say this is the best verb available on DX. I'm using version 1.5 (newest is 2.0). It sounds allright, but I don't feel it's on par with a good lexicon. Would getting 2.0 make much difference? Does anyone know of any better verbs for DX or VST?

Yes, check out the demo for ReverbX at www.sonictimeworks.com
Be aware, it is a CPU hog, but its nice. Also check out Waves RENverb, not bad t'all.
I'm dying to get a DX version of the Sony Oxford EQ plug. They just came out with the TDM version, hopefully they will make a DX in the next year or so.

Lexicon makes a TDM plugin too. Guess some of the companies don't make DX because they're afraid of piracy.

Somebody once told me the best reverb is no reverb......I guess he never heard the name lexicon...as far as dx and piracy, it is pretty sickening spend a grand on a program and then going on Kazaa and somebody has it available for a free download on Kazaa.

demos should be free....full versions: No way Jose'.

......I will admit, though I have a program or 2 that I stumbled across for free from a band mate. (he's a cheap bastard who totally believes in the "dude, it's not stealing ' mentality. The gov. thinks differently.!

Woooo...I just read my last message......FYI..I've been drinking . I normally use half way decent english and grandma.... (lol)

tubedude,

Thanks for the advice on RVerb and ReverbX, those are definitely some fine sounding reverbs.

--------

My CPU (1.2 AMD )is not happy though - It's at 60% just running one Rverb and nothing else. ReverbX sounds nice, but crashes anytime I use any of the Hall or Room algorithms. I tried it on 2 different PCs with both ntrack and Sonar - to the same affect. Also tried it on group channels, aux channels, and stereo tracks.
- this is the demo, BTW, no reason it should act funny.

I also tried tcnative reverb 2.0 - it defintely sounds different than 1.5 which I was running earlier. unfortunately all the previous stuff that I had mixed on 1.5 now sounds completetly out of wack - the saved settings sound realy different. Well, it's a good little reverb considering how little CPU it uses, but RVerb and ReverbX both sound much better to me.

by the way, Waves has released some new dlls (might be beta - not sure) for RVerb and C4 which are supposed to be optimized for p3s and later AMDs - therefore using less CPU.
