TC Finalizer 96k

Would I be hurting my mix if I ran digitally out of my MOTU 1296 to the Finalizer back to the MOTU/computer? I don't understand going direct from the Finalizer to DAT just to have to bring it back into the computer to burn a CD.

Am I missing something here?

Note: I haven't purchased the Finalizer yet anyways, but wanted an outboard piece of gear that will give me more punch and volume and don't want to have it done by an ME.

Thanks!

For less money, you might get the same results with Plugin-Ins.
Heck, you can probably get *better* results for *free* with some plugs.

If you don't need the conversion, I was never really a fan of the processing in the Finalizer anyway (IMO/E -- YMMV, of course).

I had the first version of the Finalizer, and it worked great as an AD/DA converter for the time. The functions on it for mastering never curled my toes though. I though the SPL Vitalizer did a much better job for the WOW factor.
