Anybody out there used the Voiceprism by TC? It appears to be a very capable vocal processor packed with feature. What are the limitations? For example, can it run multiple effects like compression, de-essing, and chorus simultaneously? Does it sound good? If anyone has any experience with this unit, I'd appreciate some feedback.

Thanks!

I have played with a it a little bit. I first saw it at Summer NAMM last year and was blown away. When I actually played with it in the store I was a little less impressed. The effects on it are not too great, I would say get something else if you want to use the compressor, reverbs etc. The harmonies blow away anything else in that pricerange. Eventide might be better, but thats about four time the dollars. The harmonies are good, the effect are noisy. That is my take on it. I also highly recommend getting the voiceCraft upgrade, it will make it sound sooo much more real.

I have one of the Voice Prisms and have commented on it here several times. I have not yet ordered the upgrade, but plan to in the near future.

Overall, it is more realistic than anything else I tried before I bought it. After a lot of experimenting I found several things that make it sound better, so if you get one, let me know and I will let you know some of the things that will make it easier to use.

The effects are not really that noisy. They are quite usable as long as you don't try to turn up the gain, or run it through a preamp on your board.

Thanks for that update. I am curious, do you have any recordings you have used the VP on? I am still deciding whether getting one would be simply to use as a toy or actually a product worth investing in. I would love to hear real applications of it.
Thanks,
MIKE

Unfortunately the best examples of what we have done with the Voice Prism are not mine to distribute. When I get home this weekend, I will dig through the files and see if there is anything I have that can give you an idea.

Maybe I can take some free time (if I ever get any) and put together a brief demo.

I bought it, I realised I really can't sing at all, I sounded like a doodle, I traded it in for something else.

I would love to hear any clips, complete songs, vocal tracks of any sort. Just to hear it in a recording application would be very nice, so thanks for the effort.
