TASCAM US-600 keeps crashing

so i bought a the TASCAM US-600 interface , im using cubase 5 and im pretty sure ive set everything up correct with settings and such and i started to record some guitar tracks with a simple Shure SM57

after about 10 minutes the interface decided to crash on me and the only way i could get it to work again was to restart cubase... and then after about another 15 mins it crashed again , this happened another 3 times before i gave up.

i am positive its the interface cutting out not cubase..

im running windows 7 64bit. and the computer has all the needed requirements to have the capability to record.

can i get some advice please....
 
the correct drivers are installed. and i reinstalled twice and same thing is happening
 
I returned your PM. Have you done the 'optimizing' steps for W7?
