Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. Been playing drums in bands for years and have recorded albums in professional studios in the past. Now I'm getting my own home studio together. I'm looking to have a bit of fun recording my songs and ideas. I have a bit of experience as I have watched and helped the studio engineers place mics around my kit and generally hung around the studios I've recorded in to get as much info as possible.
Anyway I just bought a Tascam US-1800 to get into recording. Is anyone on the forum using this as their audio interface? I bought it because, with it, I can record 8 xlr inputs and that should be enough to record my four piece drum kit. It would be great to hear what peoples experiences are with this bit of gear. Mine should be arriving in the next few days and then I can test it out.
Cheers,
Gav.
