UPDATE:
I finally got the drivers to work, and I got the device to record successfully,..
However, I cannot hear anything coming out of the PC speakers... the recording channels are working fine, but I figured that since the Tascam 144 is set now as the sound device for recording and playback for the PC, sound should be coming out of the speakers, but it isnt..
Also, the volume control has disappeared from the control panel, I'm not sure if that is correct or not..
I disabled the PC onboard sound card from the device menu, not sure if I was meant to do that either, but I figured it would avoid conflicts with the Tascam..
Can you help me get sound out of the speakers?
