I bought this interface several years ago and had to wail until I retired to have time to start trying home recording. I have followed the directions using the cd to install. I am told not to plug the unit into the usb until the drivers are installed. I think that it is supposed to indicate that they are installed and I am supposed to reboot before plugging in the unit. When the cd begins to install the drivers it runs for a few seconds and then instructs me to plug in the unit. I do that and the screen tells me that it is initializing. It stops there and stays. Nothing else happens. I have tried installing drivers online and then plugging in the US-122L and installing the hardware but it seems that it can't find the drivers. I am fairly sure that I have downloaded the correct drivers. I am running Windows XP SP3 (32 bit). Plenty of hard drive space and memory. Any suggestions for getting this installed or have I wasted my money. I have looked at some M-Audio units but would like to install the Tascam unit.

After trying everything, I decided as a last resort to try truning off the anti-virus. It installed without a hitch. I should have tried the simplest solution first! Thanks to all who may have been reading my post.
