tascam us-122 mic pre question

Just a quick question on the noisefloor/gain/overall quality of the mic pres on the us-122.....so far this looks like the product to beat as far as i'm concerned. Right now it's this or the edirol ua-5. The biggest thing the tascam has going for it though is popularity - in my experience, that's what really matters, because that keeps a product from being left on the side of the road by the manufacturer.

anyway, read mostly good things about it, just nothing about it's preamps

I was actually quite impressed with the preamps. Not very noisey and quite clean. Nothing special but for USB powered they definately surprised me.

Handy little unit to have around.
