Tascam SX-1LE - New from Tascam

Finally, here's one of those exciting new things from Tascam, the SX-1LE - http://www.tascam.com/products/sx1/sx1le.php
Haven't had a chance to really check it out but it looks very nice for $3,000. Too bad they've already lost a certain amount of loyalty by not responding to anyone for the last month.

I'll pick one up in 20 years from now so that I can get it for a couple of hundred bucks like I could, an old reel to reel with great sound quality.

It looks very "Nasa 69ish" to me.

Does gear like that have an external monitor connection?
I'm certain it's a wonderful piece of gear in it's own right, but If I had to look at a little screen like that for a few hours I'd be saying "Houston we have a problem!"

Yes, this unit does have that, and it comes with a keyboard and mouse (monitor not included of course).

Yeah, this is too expensive for me but it is loaded and worth the price, based on the features included. At least we now know Tascam is still in business. Why they are acting as they do still frustrates me and I would question their future business with their attitude toward loyal users.

Its already out dated being 24 bit 48k. Should be 96k.
