I'm trying to set my father in law up with a Tascam portastudio 424 mkII which I can buy for $120 or am going to have a look at his Roberts 70X Reel to reel which is buried in his basement somewhere. He's in his early eighties and looking to make some recordings for his grandchildren. Simplicity is absolutely key to success.
Digital is out of the question.
Any thoughts on either of these?
