Tascam GS-30D Guitar Amp Simulator

Has anyone ever used this device, . .since the GS-30D doesn't have an XLR out, can it be used as a DI, or is it mostly just used for effects? :confused:

Is the 1/4" OUTPUT on this thing a balanced TRS???
