I had received info from another site concerning modding the DX units to function w/o the connection cable.

The process was well outlined but no photos were provided.

In the course of a search I found a great document, modified it, and transcribed it into Word w/pictures to make sense.

I tried to herein attach it, but it is too big for the forum's limit.

This and the schematic of the units have to be e-mailed.

Happy to do so if you send an address.

Credits go to its originator but grateful for his work.

Ethan also has a good guide, but making the page a pdf is a little bit larger than the 64k limit. I've done this mod, it takes longer to unscrew the cover than to do the mod. I use a small piece of stiff wire as a jumper rather than solder.

Check this thread also as it has some x-ref for some of the ic's

I gave up the repair of that one, and settled with teh guy (he got another dbx unit in addition to this one not fixed)

Greetings! Many many years later….would you send this to me? I will message you my email. Thank you!

Gcalo has not posted here for 12 years. I suppose he may respond but it is not likely.

I reviewed the instructions and can help with more specifics as needed. Just keep us updated.
