Tascam DV-RA1000, thoughts

Does anyone have any thoughts on the TASCAM DV-RA1000 recorder that they would like to share? I was looking into getting the Alesis ML 9600, but I stumbled across this Gem.... It has some very nice features. The 3-band compressor sounds nice, EQ, 192k/24bit, records to different media etc. Any thoughts in comparison to the Alesis ML9600, would be great to read your coments.

it does DSD , which is an excellent perk.

there is a thread on it(some tapers are using it in the field to make concert tapes)

DSD is super nice, but it uses propreitary media, and the dsd discs only play in that player. you get a copy of discwelder bronze with it too.
