Tascam dp008ex mastering

I got this to fill out a order from sweetwater.but the more I use it.the more I like it.my question what do you think of tascam,s on board mastering. do you think it,s decent or should I get mastering software.

I have a DP-24 AND a DP-08EX. Never tried mastering on either one. I always port to my PC and use CoolEdit2000 to master. Not sure but Audacity (free) can probably do similar functions.
