Tascam DP-24 and Electronic(MIDI) drum set

Hi everyone. Very new to this forum and the recording world. Sorry for being such a dumb-a--. Can you directly connect a midi drum kit into the Tascam dp 24 and record your drum track? Appreciate help

The MIDI in/out are pass through for connectivity as MIDI can be chained and then each instrument assigned a number, 1-16, to communicate with each instrument. The DP24 would have no sound, if you look at the dp-24 It states "MIDI IN/OUT for sending of any MTC/MMC signal".

So, long answer to a short question would be no. The DP is primarily focused on capturing analog recording from what I have researched.
