Tascam DA-30 for recording

Just wondering if anyone knows what the possibilities concerning this DAT recorder. I've been recording some of our acoustic gigs with this DAT but use only rca out from the mixer to the dat recorder. Is anyone familiar with this recorder? It's pretty old but was given to me and I would like learn it's functions better. Any info would be helpful as I can't find a user manual. Thanks, MJ

Don't let it peak above -3dbFS and it'll do fine.

If the heads are worn you may have problems. DAT is slowly going the way of the cassette. There are reliability/longevity issues with DAT's.
