NM - Land of Excrement
I'm thinking of getting this CD/cassette recorder/player for practicing (I like to jam to cd's/cassettes) and to record my LP'sl to CDs. Anyone have any experience with this?

thanks,

rpe

I've had mine since it came out and love it.

I use it mostly as a mixdown deck for recording to CD. The cassette side was for demos and draft or scratch work but now that CD's are so cheap, I just go direct to the CD-RW. If you have a need for a cassette deck then I recommend it. Three rack spaces and lots of versatility.

Good luck.

Thanks Tulago,

What do you use to drive it? A power amp or a stereo receiver or something else?

Merry Christmas,

My setup:

Tascam 34B analog four track tape deck and a Roland VSR-880 (8 track) hard disk digital recording deck as recording media. I like having both formats and stay out of the "which is better" debate.

Both decks run through a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro mixing board. The board's direct outs go to the CC-222 CD-RW for stereo mix-down. The control room outs go to a Mackie power amp (300 watts) and to two full range Peavey PA spekers. Various outboard processors can be used for monitoring and mixing.

What's your setup...?

Merry Christmas.
