Hi, what outputs does the 788 come with?

I'm wondering if it has the RCA Line Out jacks and the RCA monitor out jacks as well.

What about inputs? Does it have the effects send inputs?

Yes, the stereo and monitor outputs are RCA. The main inputs are four 1/4" jacks. There are two auxiliary inputs and outputs, both 1/4" jacks. Here's all the details:

I was reading that some units have "coaxial S/PDIF output" -- what's that for exactly?

Is this another way to mix tracks down to a PC program like nTrack? (besides using the stereo outputs)

It's a digital out and is useful when sending your stereo mix to a computer. If the computer has a 24 bit sound card, there's no quality loss and you can do editing/'mastering' there before going to 16 bit for cd's.
