Hi,

I just started working with a Tascam 788 and have problems using the AUX for an external FX-Board.

I have connected the 788 AUX-outs with my FX-Board ins and returned the signal via the 788 AUX-ins. But nothing happens... Will I have to do some changes using the internal patchbay?

The german handbook is quite bad concerning that point. Thanks for your kind support.

Best wishes from Germany.

hey there
i am at work and i do not have my 788 here in front of me but i can give you one possibility.
first, make sure that you have gone to the "send" screen and turned up the effect level in the "aux" section (100 should be good). the aux send is a loop, so you have to have it turned up for the channels you are trying to effect. if you have not done this before, hit the button for the channel you are trying to effect, then hit the "send" button. this brings up the send screen. then use the arrow keys to highlight the "aux" dial in the lower window and turn the dial with the jog wheel.
there may be something else but i would need to have my 788 at hand...
hope this helps

Hey Christopher,

thank you, this forum is great... I checked out this aux-send-thing before (turning up the internal fader)... The aux obviously sends signals to my effect (I can check it through the headphones-out of the effect). Will I really have to route the aux-ins of the Tascam to the submixer (as posted on cmoore.com) to listen to the effects? Thanx!
