Ive heard of a modification for the 688 .. adding a switch for turning the motor off, to save the life of the motor while not actually recording ... Id like to use the 688 as a mixer a lot without wearing out the motor..
Would it be possible to just snip the wire that the motor gets its power from and connect the ends of the wire to a switch (to break or make the connection) or would it be much more complicated than that ?
