Tascam 424 mk11 problem

Hi, I recorded guitar leads on track 4. Before I could cut out parts by lowering the track 4 fader all the way. Now I can still hear them even when I lower it. Any ideas as to what is happening would be appreciated.

Check your tape cue switch.Is it set to tape cue.?
If so ,then even if your faders are all the way down you will hear your recording if your tape cue knobs(effects knobs) are turned up.
Flick the switch to eff. over from tape cue and this should solve your problem.
