Tascam 2488neo Distorting

hi there,
I`m getting really wound up here. Ican`t seem to stop my Acoustic Guitar from Distorting when strumming.Messed with all the Volumes,trim etc,and the Overload light doesn`t even comeon. Has anyone got any ideas before i throw it out of the window.Been messing for 3 hours now!!!!!!!!
 
A little more info would help. Are you micing the guitar? Going direct? Are you plugging into the HI-Z input in the front or one of the inputs in the back?

Yeah like RAMI said, you can't really diagnose an issue unless you know some of the variables. Are you micing the guitar and if so, what kind of mic are you using (condensor, ribbon, dynamic)? Or are you plugging the guitar in direct (HI-Z input like RAMI said)? What are your equalizers set at? Do you have an effect on? Press send and make sure all EFX are set to off. Maybe you accidently pressed the multi-effect button? The very first EFX on that list are all overdrive effects.
