My Tascam 246, has channel 4 not playing back through the PGM Buss. Assigning to L/1 & L/2 only gives a very faint playback when listening through the phones PGM, PGM outputs and also at the individual Channel 4 PGM out.
Plays fine through when assigned through the Monitor section and from the tape out RCA.
VU is still showing properly, listening through monitor outs still works properly.
Steps i've taken
Removed Channel 4 strip
Reflowed solder joints on this and the BUSS across all channels
Tested Channel 4 ASSIGN button solder joints WITH CONTINUITY METER - Both up & down are working for all 4
Tested channel 4 buss pcb connectors for continuity and all were fine
Reinstalled the channel, but swapped channels 1 and 4 and the problem followed the swap with channel 1 now showing the problem.
VU is still showing properly, listening through monitor outs still works properly.
Any ideas on the next steps?
