channel 4 sounds very scratchy, fades in and out and is very distorted when monitoring the input. however when I attempted to record the input, nothing was recorded.
what sort of problem could this be? I've searched around a lot for info on this problem and haven't found much luck. I know I had the same problem, as far as how it sounds, on an old guitar and it was an old pot that had gotten dirty or something inside. could that be the problem here, would that explain why it wouldnt record as well possibly? is this something I can fix on my own? I'm very, very poor at the moment but I'm not afraid to open the thing up, I've replaced belts and idler tires so far with no problems, willing to learn to solder
