Hi there... First let me say I really dig this forum!!! I am using a M312b console and just picked up a 22-2 Reel to Reel.

If anyone has a pdf manual for the 22-2 they would like to share that would be great and any tape recommendations would be cool as well.

Thanks.

Still trying to source a manual here before heading to the bay..... If anyone could help that would be great.

They are available on Ebay. I bought mine there, I do not have a PDF.

As for tape, the analog forum here has plenty of info. RMG LPR35 is cheap and works great. If you can hunt down the no-longer-made Scotch 207, that's good too. Ampex 407 is great if you can find any that is not sticky. I find I like the LPR35 at 7.5 IPS better than 15, and the Scotch only at 15. Your results may vary.

I just picked up a tascam 22-2 as well and would like to know how you watch out for good tape and ones that aren't sticky. I'm assumiong with each reel of tape you buy, you're taking your chances. Or is there a good place to buy them that has a good rep for selling tape? Thnaks for any advice. I'm brand new to the R2R world:) I'm also looking for manual if anyone has a PDF version.

Dead thread walking here pal.

Is your 22-2 calibrated perchance?
I have one that's setup and sounding lovely, but I've never had a calibration tape to go off.

Looking for someone who would maybe print a tape from a calibrated machine.
