Hello everyone, I'm a Voice Over in South Carolina and have a strictly digital studio. Voicing for radio / TV / Web sites / Podcasts are my bread and butter, but a client wants to pay me a ridiculous amount of money to move about 150 standard audio (music and voice) cassettes to CD's. It's mostly his old air checks I think.

I need:

1. Rack mounted deck with good to very good audio response.

2. XLR and/or 1/4" I/O's so I can use cables I already have to connect to my Personus FireStudio / FirePod and other outboard equipment.

3. Remote control from a MAC (or hardwired hand controller) for high speed shuttle / search purposes. This would be a HUGE PLUS because it's not a bulk dump project and I don't want to burn daylight searching. Shuttling with real time audio out so I can hear track stops / starts.

I don't want to do this as a side business per se, but if the money's good, I might, so the deck needs to be robust with reasonable access to belts and other repair parts.

A Tascam 133 that looks pretty good, what are your thoughts?
