I'm looking at some monitors and I can get a pair of Reveal 5A active monitors for under £215 ($388) They're small, nearfield type.

Does anyone have experience of these?

Also Ive seen advertised
Tannoy Activ Assist Room Measurement Tool, supposedly designed for just these monitors, but they're asking £39.

Is this worth it?

i'm sitting in front of a piar of these even as i type this.... love them personally... though a little light in the bottom... if your doing rap/hiphop ya might want to consider a sub somewhere down the line... as to the software... i've not used it but am skepticle of the packages that try to correct... if it's just a test... that would be good to know... but the correction stuff can only correct for one position... what happens to the rest of the room??? i'ld rather try to adjust the room... not the speakers.... YMMV...
