G'day for down under.

I've finally managed to off-load my Behringer mixer to some poor unsuspecting fool, :p and I'm expecting a pair of active Tannoy Reveals to arrive today or tomorrow.
Anyway, getting to the point. I want to add a sub hopefully in a few months time and was wondering if anyone is running the PS110B sub with their Reveals and what are your thoughts.
Thanks
MArk

I run the PS110 with Event PS6s and it's excellent.... but you need to set it up so that it only extends the lower bass range, not so that it *adds* extra bass.....

(ie, it's not intended as a bass booster....)

Thanks Bruce.
The web site doesn't give you a view of the control section. Am I right in assuming that it has an inbuilt stereo crossover and that you can adjust the crossover frequency. I 'spose about 80 cycles would be a good point?

It has all the adjustment controls on it (including crossover).... I used an RTA to set the sub up.... it seemed to work very well, but the actual crossover point will vary depending on the room, and the placement of your other neafields........

listen to bruce. He knows what he is talking about.

Hey Bruce, I listened to your last post in the clinic and I thought that it was excellent. I love the space you created and what you did with the snare. Very pro. THe only thing I did not too like was that the vocal was a bit low, albeit very retro sounding.

I just thought that I would take this opportunity to tell you.

Hey thanks Cyan... did you mean that little cover of the Cure tune?

Yeah... the vocal is low intentionally... based on the feel of the mix of the original Cure tune, which I was trying to recreate as a mixing exercise!

Thanks for the kind words!

Bruce

yes bruce, it was the cure cover.

I see now that you were going for the feel of the original. I love hearing those retro vocals. not hyped to death in the high end like many of today's project vocals.
