okay...stupid question...

i just got a pair of active 6.5 tannoy reveal monitors...and im reading the instruction booklet it came with and they keep mentioning stuff for hooking them up to an amp...i thought these had built in amps (i.e. i wouldnt need an amp)...could someone clear this up for me?...thanks

If they are "active", then they are powered - but there should be some mention of the amp's power in the manual... if it doesn't say "active" anywhere, then they ain't!

Tannoy Reveals come in 2 flavours, the more expensive ones being the powered version. If you didn't buy the more expensive of the 2, then you got the standard ones requiring an amp.

Alright, darn it! I got the ones that aren't active. In that case, could someone suggest a good monitor amp for my reveals? I'm sorta low on money now so I gotta get the best bang for the buck. Thanks for all your help.
