Don't. Ask. :o

Before anyone asks, yes I did get it untangled and back on the reel.

Depending on how wrinkled/creased it is, sure you can use it, but it won’t perform like unwrinkled/uncreased tape.

Could always go old school and splice.
But then again, if there’s recorded material on there…….. nah.

It's only the first five minutes or so. Most of it was uncreased and I managed to get it all back on the reel with only one minor hassle (a knot).

I’m not laughing at you…hopefully laughing with you…the things the digital-only folks just might not understand us tape folks may encounter, but also it’s breaking my brain how tape got…knotted…you said don’t ask…I’m not asking…I’m just…yeah…I’m just. :)

It will forever remain a mystery. But I can reveal that a misseated tape reel might have played a large part in this misadventure.
I’m assuming there’s recorded content on the tape.
For what length of time does the track sound glitchy, for lack of a better term.

Is it possible to transfer to digital and fix via editing the damaged area?
If so you could always transfer it back to good tape.

No idea. I put a different tape on the deck. There's only MIDI sync code on track 8 so far anyway
