I think it would really bring a fullness to the song and perhaps a little added drive. Just something as simple as it can be, long held notes that are there constantly. It doesn't have to stand out at all. Just enough so that you notice it's missing if you mute that track. It's like salt, to much ruins the meal I don't think most people including my self notice a nice pad even when it's plainly audible. It just doesn't really grab any attention.

Typing as listening... starts with kind of an older rem jangly guitar feel... the vox are real cool though. Love the backup vox too, sound real good. The jangly guitar is feel good action. Very nice sound. Nice bass run near the end too. Just a cool song... I'm a sucker for pop songs with vocals like this... can't offer any mix suggestions since it sounds great, I'm on headphones, and been out of mixing for too long because of my computer dying an ugly death!! Annnnyway, loved the tune Cheers ram-man.

Well it is common knowledge that keyboard in your music and carrying umbrellas will make your dick shrink. So happens that it's not a problem for me

Well I did some messing around with this song for kicks. I have to admit that with the way the notation changes are in this song it would be damn tough to put a simple discrete pad in there. It would have to spend too much time following the music. At that point it becomes an keyboard part (like the guitar) and I'm not fond of that either. So even though I could really hear it in my head during parts of the song at first listen. After messing with it and really taking in all the changes you have in the song I also am voting NO with Greg the shark fisherman!
