t1953 Better than omni studio preamps?

What would a behringer t1953 offer that my omni preamps wouldn't?

Probably a pretty, glowy tube that doesn't do anything, and an overall lower grade of sound quality. Your omni preamps are fine. Feel lucky that at least you don't have shitty sound card inputs that suck.

I feel lucky that an airplane engine hasn't fallen out of the sky and ripped me in half but it has nothing to do with me wanting a tube sound. How can a "glowy, tube sound" not do anything for me? How can I get the glowy, tube sound that does do something for me?

Spend a lot more money. Cheap tube gear is generall frowned on around here, IMO, for good reason. My only experience with it was the Presonus Blue Tube, which I thought sucked, except as a bass DI.

Cheap solid state gear has much more potential to be good than cheap tube gear. The DMP3 is an excellent pre. Blew the Blue Tube I replaced it with out of the water.
