system crash!! arghhh why???

hey, im always going through system crashes atleast once when im making music!! im using soundblaster soundcard via USB, my comp specs good, i got 3.19ghz and 1gb of ram! and 80gig hardrive!! but whilst im arranging, everything freezes and i have to restart any idea??! :mad:
 
Thats hardly enough information.

What recording software are you using?
Do you have the latest SB drivers?
Is this a general purpose computer (i.e. loaded with other non music related software)?
How many apps do you have running in the background on the systray?
What video card do you have?
Have you checked for IRQ conflicts?

That's like saying: My car dies when I drive to the store. My car is a ford and has a 302 engine. When I drive it dies and I have to restart it. Why does my car die?

There are 50 bagillion possiblities here. The more specific you are with your problem, the more likely someone will be able to help you.
 
Could be anything from
Bad Ram
Low Power Supply
Driver issues
OS issues
Pirated Software
ete, etc, etc.

You really have to learn how to diagnose the failures; we're not psychic....
 
dont forget :
bad harddrive
dying video card
mice in your cpu case (most likely)
