Synth noise like this?

I'm trying to find a synth noise like this, kicks in at 1:02

Its for an EBM (gothic dance music) project i'm working on. I've found stuff thats almost there but not quite what i want.

Any VSTs known to be good at this sort of stuff, or any tricks to creating something similar would be awesome.

Its not as easy as you'd think man. The basics of it are saw waves, but i'm struggling with the harsh alarm type sound its creating which is what i want to learn how to do.

There's some pitch manipulation going on there. Sounds like a ramp or a manual controller, not an LFO. The pitch shift changes direction on each note. Maybe it's a MIDI effect.

It has to be.

I just tried it on my synth and made a sound nearly the same as in the link. I use manual control on the "filter envelope" and "amp envelope" simultaneously.
