This has probably been asked a thousand or maybe not, I'm needing to be able to run all my plugins and soft synths at considerable speed im wanting to sync several computers via midi thus having my most powerful system as the controller and several cheap systems as 'slave sample banks' storing the likes of DKFH Reason Pianos, Ivory IKM Orchestr etc allowing for more tracks to be reocrded and played back simultaneously i was wondering if it was just a case of chaining midi cables from one to the other and if more than computer was to be controlled then use the midi thru. anyone got any opinions on this or even done it themselves?
