I'm trying to get strings and percussion off Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 onto my Roland VS-1880, which I got second-hand a wee while ago.
According to the manual you can synchronise these using a MIDI interface, wired up one way with Cakewalk as master or another way with the Roland as master.
No matter what I do, despite the setup working fine on both, when I press play on the master, it runs on and the slave doesn't play.
I'm clearly missing something, but I can't work out what - maybe the computer isn't sending the information, or they're not compatible.
Please send help!
