sync problem

so
got a firepod
works great with its cubase le
but
i dont like cubase le
i LOVE adobe audition
i recorded on adobe auditon and it worked fine
but now everytime lets say i record guitar to a metronome
when i play it back its completely off timing like the sync was messed up with the program
it cant be the firepod cause the recording still works with the cubase

any suggestions?

could be a sample rate problem.
