Got myself a delta 44 but still cant work this out. Trying to get it to work so cubase will record more than tracks without starting to go out of sync with itself. I've tried all the tests and settings i can try in the ASIO setup thing they always fail. Tried using n-tracks see if it was anything to do with cubase but n-tracks was awful and kept spouting something about midi even though i dont use midi and couldn't even find how to turn midi off.

Any suggestions?

Well, ive made recordings a couple of minutes long consisting of 3 tracks succesfully, but when i start to add more, when played back the new tracks are out of synch with the old ones. They start playing later or earlier than they should.

Again, bump. Thought this would be simple to someone.

Hard to tell. Have you tried increasing the number of buffers in the delta control panel?

Whats your monitoring chain look like? Explain in detail how you are set up (comp specs etc)

Are you talking about midi tracks or audio tracks?

Audio tracks. I have a V-amp pro plugged into ins 1 and 2 of my delta 44, and outs 1 ans 2 on the 44 go to my stereo's aux in. In the delta control panel H/W out 1/2 is set to Monitor mixer.

Comp is a P4 2.66 northy, 1gb kingston, system files on seperate HD.

Edit: Can no one help? When i check the synch on the ASIO miltimedia setup, the input ports pass, the output ones fail badly. Why would this be i thought the 44 was good for stuff like this?

Included is a screenshot, i've tried increasing the buffer size manually all the way to the maximum, it makes no differance.

Hmm i assume so or i wouldn't be hearing anything...

Found a setting in cubase that wasn't set to m-audio asio, shown in the screenie. Cant say whether or not its stopped the audio non synching but it hasn't stopped the delta failing the synch test.

Try it with the setting set to ASIO. Dont worry about the asio tests, you really dont need them for anything, the Maudio Delta drivers are solid
