I'm so sorry.
Speaking of guitars, Swervedriver might be the most criminally overlooked band of all the 90's. Talk about being hit over the head with guitars. They're probably my favorite band of all time. Anyone know of or agree?

Honestly, I've never really heard them.

Years ago, I remember the game Road Rash for the PC, had songs by Soundagarden and Swervedriver, among others; I think I liked the songs at the time, but it was only one or two...

Any recommendations?

Oh good god do I agree...

Mezcal Head and Raise.

PERIOD.

Yeah I saw swervedriver a couple of times back in the early nineties. They sort of fitted into what was known as the 'shoegazing' scene over here back then along with bands like ride, Chapterhouse, slowdive et al.

I spent many of my teenage years listening to that stuff.

The first two LP's mentioned above are the only two I really know, I'd certainly recommend those.

My good friend Danny Ingram played drums with them for awhile. I never got into their stuff, though. Just never gave 'em a listen really.

Take a closer listen if you get the chance. Im telling ya. They're the most perfect blend of American and British rock I've ever heard, and yet again, don't get me started on the guitar work.

I saw them open up for some band several years ago (probably late 90s). I had never heard of them, and they sounded pretty cool. It looked as though the guitarists (the lead singer at least) used alternate tunings.

I used to have Mezcal Head from them. I haven't listened to Swervedriver in years, but I remember digging those guys quite a bit. I'll have to grab some of their stuff again. Not sure why I stopped to begin with, really...
