OK... Without starting a lame poll or anything:

What do you do to keep the sweat out of your eyes when playing?

I see a lot of drummers going for the bandanna 'skull caps' and some who still brave the ridicule with that 80's Olivia Newton John/Mike Reno colored headband technique. I have a headset mic and use ear buds for monitors, so putting more stuff on around the noggin makes me feel a bit like Carmen Miranda sometimes... :D

I normally just wear at least one athletic wrist band to mop out the eyes as needed... But stopping it before it gets to the eyes would be the best solution, certainly.

So... Just out of curiosity...

What method works for you?

Grow some big bushy eyebrows. :D

I get pretty sweaty, but sweat getting in my eyes isn't a big issue for me. I just keep a towel back there with me and wipe off between songs. I'd never wear anything on my head. It's hot enough back there.

have some kid with a banana leaf fan you man thats what the pro's do :p
on the real, my drummer has a rackmount fan to stop him from sweating before its too late its pretty cool it mounts right beside his hats on the cymbal rack.

i don't even fight it anymore. it stings like crazy, and i just endure it until the song's over or there's a short break and i do a quick sleeve-wipe.

i sweat like kunta kinte at a merle haggard concert. it sucks.

There is this stuff called Dry Sol...wherever you put it you wont sweat.

I have a small fan mounted on my drum rack which directs the air directly on my face (not enough to mess with my vvocal mic) and that helps reduce the sweat alot. Other than that, a towel to wipe off between songs. I think sweat is simply part of being a drummer.
