I bought/downloaded some really nice drum samples that were sampled from several High end maple drum kits and some high end studio kits
I added some of the samples to Beatcraft and set up a great sounding drum kit.
I haven't added the Toms to the kit yet, just the kick, snare and a couple cymbals.

I created this simple drum track as a test and ended up doing Surfin with the Alien as something fun to do

Nothing serious, just a real fun romp.
The mix is probably way bad.
My ears were totally fried when I finished a few hours ago.

I like the drums. If you're going to use sampled drums, it's nice to not use the same ones as everyone else. As much as I like EZDrummer, it makes my drums sound like all the other drum tracks on this forum.

Question about the sampled drums. I was thinking of just sampling my own drums, part for fun, part so that my drums won't sound like everybody else's. When you buy a sample library, what format is it in? Is it just a bunch of wave files that are linked to some interface (like kontakt or gigastudio)? I guess I should just look it up for myself.

Oh, nevermind, I see. You used Beatcraft.

Go to the Download link, it was $24.99 for 4 kits but you can buy just one kit.
The DW collectors kit sounded the best for what I do, but all the kits sounded great.

There were 830 files and it was 582 mb, it was a great deal.

I didn't spend a ton of time setting up the kit in beatcraft. i could probably dial it in way better.

Edit: Hey boz. The samples I got are 24 bit wav files, but I think drum werks has other formats. In beatcraft, you just right click on a track and choose, set sample. Samples are very short files, under 1 meg usually, not loops. I am sure you know that, just throwing out to others who may not know.

I can load the other 3 kits and make a short sample aslo.
